Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 - Combos That Are Easy to Use

Our testers are impressed by how smoothly and conveniently these travel systems move, whether they have a single front wheel or a rotating front wheel. The Thule Urban Glide 2 in 1 pushchair Combo, the BOB Alterrain Pro combo, and the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo are easy to move. However, even the BOB Revolutionflex 3.0 Combo and Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 in 1 prams Combo can be pushed with one hand.

Some models are difficult to attach or remove from the base, though. The Doona Combo, for example, requires a two-step attachment process and straps that slide over the infant's bottom part. It's tempting to skip these steps however it could result in unsafe outcomes.

Some models are more difficult to fold and store than others, making them less convenient. Graco FastAction 3 in 1 Car Seat Stroller is difficult to fold because of its huge dimensions and bulky frames. Some testers are also disappointed by the canopy on this model to be disappointing. The Britax Parkway Combo Click and Go is easy to fold down with the push of a button and a pull of the lever. This model is an excellent choice for parents who want to use their car seat in other people's cars, as it can be easily detached from the base.

Easy to Fold

Whether you're storing the car seat on its own, in the trunk of your vehicle or even in a closet, it should be easy to fold and unfold. The best 2 in 1 pram combinations we've tested have a simple, one-handed fold that's compact and sturdy enough to use for long walks. They're also easy to move and glide smoothly over uneven surfaces. Some combos are attached and detached by straps. This may be a bit like a second step, and can make it more difficult for parents to secure their child's car seat properly.

The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is a fantastic choice for its sturdy construction and convenient features, including a huge storage bin that can be accessed from either the front or back. SafeCenter LATCH, an exclusive feature of the BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo allows you to install a car seat by connecting the lower anchors and pulling the straps tight.

It's also fairly light, making it a great option for frequent travelers or families with multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo, and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored high in our ease of use tests. Both have a single front wheel that's simple to push (one-handed! Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also come with a flexible spinner wheel, ideal for running errands and shopping. The only drawback is that they're quite heavy and therefore it can be tricky to lift them up when you're carrying children in the car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Some car seat and stroller combos can be difficult to put together. The UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo is one of the simplest travel systems to put together. It even comes with a helpful guide. Other models, such as the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista v2, Thule urban Glide 2 and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also fairly easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo however is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors as well as using straps that protect the bottom of the carrier. It's heavy so it takes two people to click the carrier in the base, and then to remove it.

In our tests we took about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together. This is quite fast when you consider the time is saved by not having to remove each piece. The toddler seat can be put together and detached easily on most of these models.
