World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

Item upgrading allows players to boost an item's gear score up to 700, and then add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln.

Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For example the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't change much after an upgrade, and aren't worth the cost.

Weapons

Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats such as damage to attack, crit chance, PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have an unchanging bonus that increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a single unit. This bonus may be more than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can do.

The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue rise until it requires a higher tier of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.

Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. This is usually a positive thing, but it can also have negative effects. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are very lucky.

Upgrades can be made to armor items to boost their performance. This will increase the defense of a helm or chest, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor offers a rerolling option for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it can sometimes roll down to a lower value.

The upgrade template of a weapon will display the new stats that it will gain when upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.

A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button, which is accompanied by arrows that circle in the item upgrader kit menu. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, but it will not reset the weapon's levels, or tie it to the account status.

Armor

A few armor upgrades can make the world of difference to your survivability. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you have on your character, the more health you'll get from each point. So, it's Best item upgrade to upgrade your armor.

To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a specific side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest and the associated fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.

Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels and the amount of material and Rupees required for each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for example can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which will allow you to stay ahead in frigid conditions with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you're able to withstand a rout with your friends.

You can't upgrade your armor like weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or the power of spells. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you wear to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.

By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. Generally, you'll want to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to beat the game, like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer However, it is useful to have some upgrades of the chest armor and helmets that permit you to sneak past some monsters.

Potions

Potions are substances in bottles that, if consumed, give the user the illusion of status for a few minutes. There are five different types of potions, each having particular effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by including glowstone dust and redstone.

Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be obtained by crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The cost of upgrading varies based on the type of potion used and the item's Rarity and Mark Level.

To upgrade a potions, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI which allows you to select the potions that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.

Once a potion is upgraded, it will not be degraded until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.

There were a few updates to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item upgrader kit. The table for potion can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Bedrock Edition potions aren't compatible with cauldrons like Java Edition. This is the same for using a potion in an empty cauldron. This will drain the potion and refill the bottle.

Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions' effect is extended by adding redstone. The table of potion ingredients is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as the potion of leaping, the potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.

Trinkets

A trinket is a small and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't essential as a trinket. In some cultures a trinket can be used to show affection or friendship between family members.

Players can upgrade trinkets as well as weapons, armor, and potions. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Unlike other item upgrades trinkets, trinkets can be swapped out at will without losing their stats.

The upgrade item vendors are found in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of a rare trinket.

Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade players for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as the older one, and have an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Trinkets can be upgraded once they are not needed which allows a player to increase their power and worth over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an extremely popular alternative to gold.

In general players should upgrade their most important items first. This usually refers to the most valuable-in-slot items for their class, then their secondaries and then other pieces of gear that will not be replaced in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players and they want to upgrade their chest, helm and shoulders.

Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful, and the new trinket will have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade can ruin the previous trinket in the event that it is not salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still less expensive than buying a new one.
