Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item can be improved by upgrading it, also referred to as "upping". Each upgrade increment results in an increase in the linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

An upgrade for an item in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished by a number of means, including the use of upgrade components and also upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. A lot of items can be reforged in order to increase their stats.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. They can also be created by players. Upgrade components are the primary method to upgrade equipment. These are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment has slots for upgrading, and many require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.

Choose the item from your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The amount of upgrade components needed for a given item is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. Glyphs

Each glyph increases a stat's value by a certain amount. This is shown on the item when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This range is the maximum value that the glyph can improve a stat by, not the amount that it will actually increase the stat by. The value of the glyph is contingent on the tier and the quality of the item that you are in awe of.

The majority of upgrade components added to items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If you do have a rune or glyph that has not yet been added to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece of equipment by using the Upgrade Glyphs context menu in the Glyphs panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from an item you must salvage it with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed in which it is installed, but you can recover the upgraded item by using the glyph and its fragments, therefore, it shouldn't be considered a loss.

Adding a glyph to an item may cause it to become unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also add the glyph to your equipment to add an additional benefit. For instance the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and then deal it out slowly instead of all at once. This is beneficial for players who suffer many hits from enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes on equipment and weapons. They can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as mysterious boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player a random affix that is typically better than what they had before. Reroll tokens can also be used to improve weapon stats to cause more damage or bonuses.

Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of item upgrades, but they are still able to be upgraded. By pressing the "upgrade button" you can recycle the items that have been rerolled. This will alter the appearance of the window for the item level upgrade, and allow up to six items to be chosen to recycle. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the item's rarity and its own level, so higher-level items are more useful to recycle than lower-level ones.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll Weapon Traits for upgraded units. Rerolls roll the % chance of a weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it rolls lower, it remains the same. Weapons can be repeatedly rolled up to three times.

Rerolls are a good option for upgrading an item, but players must be aware that it will lower the overall ilvl of the weapon due to the number of rerolls needed in order to increase it to its final ilvl. This effect is most noticeable on rings and Diadems, since they have no other options for raising ilvl.

The Reroll system has been criticized by players for being too expensive and it's more reasonable to let players pay for it using money or food items which would allow players to alter their build without spending too much time and energy. The developers have no plans to offer paid rerolls in this stage in the game's development. They're planning to include a potion that will allow players to change their race in the future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to level up an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade, which increases the value of an upgrade for any stat. The second is to increase the effect of upgrading, which increases the healing or damage of a particular stat. The base item can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade type. The upgraded item will maintain its iLevel but be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.

When you upgrade items, it is important to keep in mind that upgrades aren't always planned. In the majority of cases, a better roll is based on the glyphs. However there are instances when a more or unique roll can occur. The type of item will determine the iLevel. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level. Generally speaking the upgrade effect is increased by a value of +3.

Based on the item's base level and upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded item will change too. For example an item that has been upgraded from being a rare or exclusive item to an extraordinary one can be expected to gain the Enhanced Defence of the new base item.
