UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time the handles on your doors will wear down and need to be changed. It is important to match the dimensions of the old handles when replacing them.

The three measurements to be inspected are the top screw position the lever and key hole sizes. Refer to the size guide for assistance with this.

A lever door handle is a contemporary handle that can be installed on replacement handles for upvc windows or new doors. This type of door handle is available in a variety of styles and finishes. Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc operates differently to the lever type handles found on most doors. These handle types can either work off one single spindle (inline) or independently from each side using two inline or offset spindles (pad). A euro cylinder must be properly measured to ensure that it is the right size for your door. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn should there be one. If you are unable measure it with the lock in position, you can take it out of it. It is crucial to ensure that there is no extension of the cylinder beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it vulnerable to lock snapping attacks.

Most newer cylinders have been constructed with bump and anti-drill features that are built into their design. They are designed to decrease the chances of an attack by forcing the cylinder to rotate in a different direction. This will help to deflect attacks and ensure your door is secure.

Certain cylinders are made to withstand snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A specific tool is used to break the break line of the lock and the front of the cylinder is snapped off.
