Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components

An upgrade item is a unique item upgrader mod that can make certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade item can be obtained by spinning a photo disc. It's often given as a prize in Pokemon GO events.

Upgrade components

The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be inserted into gathering tools) and enchantments, which are able to be removed and reinserted freely.

Insignias and enchantments will display their name in the hover display of the item, while upgrades with suffix and prefix will add their name to the end of the name of the equipment (e.g. for example, a Radiant Insignia on Tyrian Armor would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components that have been added to an item will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to add decorative and functional elements to an OpenType font. They include ligatures and fractions, as well as ornaments, as well registered trademark symbols, ellipses and swashes as well as swashes. Once a Glyph has been leveled up to the desired level, you can activate it by selecting it and then pressing the "enchant" button. The Glyph you create will provide its stated benefit, and increase the number of nodes within its area on the Paragon Board. It's important to place Glyphs where they can best benefit your build, and this is why it's recommended to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Rare glyphs may also offer double bonuses if certain conditions can be met.

If you're having difficulty finding a specific glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to display the panel in a variety of perspectives. Each view will display the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs you want to see by selecting an option beneath "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the choices to mathematical symbols.

Rerolling

Rerolling involves creating an account with a brand new username in order to increase your chances of getting a character or weapon you want. However it's important to keep in mind that not all set items are candidates for upgrading. Certain items, like Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could benefit from an upgrade to increase their stats. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
