Changing the Battery in Your mazda key replacement 3 Key Fob

There is nothing more frustrating than getting to your vehicle after a long work day and realizing that the key fob battery is dead. Luckily, it's an easy fix with an easy battery replacement at a hardware store or big box retailer.

A spare key fob for your Mazda 3 is an inexpensive way to avoid having to take your vehicle to a dealership in order to have them reprogram the keys.

Battery Replacement

You can replace the battery on your lost mazda 3 key 3 keyfob at home. You should only replace it when the battery is dead or you notice a message stating "Low keyfob battery" on the multi-information display. Replace battery."

You'll need a flathead screwdriver and tape and patience to open the case. The rubber seals on the electronic chip could be penetrated by water, especially when it is submerged over an extended period of time such as in a pool or ocean at the beach. The chip may cease to function and require replacement of the keyfob. If you have a key that can be programmed, you can clean it using electronic cleaners or isopropyl to restore its function. If this doesn't help will be able to fix the issue, then the chip has fried and must be replaced.

Locking and Unlocking the Doors

The buttons on the key fob transmit electronic signals to the solenoid of the car, which then converts this signal into mechanical action. It locks and unlocks doors. If the door lock is not working, the problem may be a solenoid issue that requires some investigation by a professional auto repair shop.

A dead 12 volt battery can hinder the fob from functioning correctly. This can happen if the battery loses its charge or if the contacts become corroded and stop conducting electricity. This issue can be solved in minutes with a new battery.
