Midi beds are generally lower than high sleepers, and also have a shorter ladder or staircase. They are therefore ideal for smaller rooms. They can also use the standard UK single midi bed (i loved this) mattress and add a variety of useful pieces underneath. Many of our midi cabin beds are available in a variety of finishes, so you can pick the one that fits your child's bedroom most. Some go even further and include various bespoke storage unit. This includes a desk that can be moved between the two on wheels, four storage drawers and two cupboards with doors included. Most loft beds for midi require a standard UK Single mattress (3ft/90x190cm) and a wooden base. The cost of the bed does not include the mattress. We suggest looking through our mattress deals to find one that fits your budget.

Mattress

Most midi beds use standard UK single mattresses. The top bunk is equipped with a safety rail for added security. Some models include a fabulous pull out drawer that can be used for sleepovers or more storage space below the bed. They can be open or equipped with doors (please check the product details for more information).

Many midi cabins come with the option of a desk that can be moved between the two upper levels or chests of drawers. This gives the children the space they need to store everything they own. This also means that they don't need to take up valuable floor space with large wardrobes or shelves.

A few models have taken it a step further with cabinets that are flush mounted or is part of the headboard/footboard. This is perfect for storing books and toys.
